This is the so-called fifth generation of the VFR—and it was essentially a new machine. The most obvious change was the slightly bigger V4 engine, enlarged from the 750’s 748cc to 781.7cc

I have read many reports of what a stock new VFR 800 Fi should produce and its somewhere in the 104 / 107 bhp depending where you read it. To me it felt like the bike was running at sub 100 bhp , maybe even a bit lower but that's just a guess on my part.
Size: 17"x5.5". OE Tire: 170/60-17. Tire recommendations: 180/55-17 is the best handling tire you can put on a 5.5" rim, nothing else. The 170 will not put as big of a rubber contact patch down when cornering hard. The 190 tire will be too big, not as stable handling in hard cornering. Fitment: Will fit all VFR's 90-09 without any problems.
