My girlfriends 2.0gti keeps chucking fault codes on VAG com. 2 Faults Found: 16518 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1: No Activity. P0134 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent. 17536 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean. P1128 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent. On other ocasions ,, it just shows just the sensor fault only,,,and is recorded as " No signal OOO I didn't notice to topic I posted the same sort of problem for my 1.6 too! I'll have a look at the fuses ontop of the battery tommorow as I know my luck it will play at a very inconvinient time for me lol. Turn the engine off. Push in & hold clutch pedal, put car in 1st gear, start engine. Continue holding clutch pedal. If the car creeps forward, your clutch isn't releasing completely. Jan 12, 2012. #1. hello. i recently purchased a mk4 golf 1.9 se tdi 90hp and i got it spares or repair. originally it did not turn over and that was the battery. now i have a major issue.. it makes a hell of a banging noise on start. i was told by a mechanic that it was somewhere in the top end of the Car: VW Golf MK4 1.6 16v Petrol 2003, Manual Problems: 1. When I put engine under load eg pull away with hand brake lowing the engine speed (below ~900 rpm; nearly stalling but not quite), the engine will start hunting. When it happens, stepping on the throttle will occasionally bring it back to normal. Just tried to start my Golf MkIV 1.6 16v and it's sounding like it's running on three cylinders. It's also smoking and is more difficult to start. Also the check engine light is flashing. Does the dreaded coil pack problem that is plaguing larger VAG engines affect this engine as well or is it likely something else? Hp5Q.
